The Revision Workshop is a new addition to the workshop series, created to cater to Community Workshop students who are further along in their writing processes. This class focuses on big picture concerns rather than proofreading, and a concentration on strengthening elements like structure, organization, and connections as well as guidance and discussions about submitting work for publication.
Unlike other workshops that do not ask students to have writing finished prior to workshop, this class is for writers who already have a first (or second, or eighty-seventh) writing draft for which they would like feedback. This draft could be a collection of stories, poems, or personal essays—or a particular section of a novel, chapbook, or memoir—that the writer feels is ready for a second set of eyes. The work can also be from a previous community workshop that the writer wants to continue with.
